International Day of Sport For Development and Peace 2018

Today is the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, a day to recognize the positive influence sport has on the advancement of human rights, and social and economic development. To celebrate, the United Nations has published images of organizations throughout the world doing just that. Honored to contribute to the gallery and showcase all the amazing work Shooting Touch is doing in Rwanda and Boston. Go check out the gallery to see all the incredible work sport organizations are doing throughout the world. http://unsdn.org/multimedia/playforglobalgoals-photo-exhibition/

Here is a gallery of images and a quick video I shot a few weeks ago in Rwanda of a basketball tournament and women's march.

http://www.ShootingTouch.com On March 17th, over 1,000 Shooting Touch youth and women took part of our first 5k march through the streets of Kayonza, Rwanda to raise awareness for gender and health equity. Men and women marched to our annual International Women's Day tournament hosted on the (2) courts we built while over 2,000 spectators cheered on.
